Wendy Rogers’ campaign stop in Heber

Heber, AZ
Wendy Rogers stopped by Aliberto's in Heber on her campaign tour in NE AZ.

Wendy Rogers, accompanied by her husband Hal, and Walt Blackman, paid a visit to Aliberto’s Restaurant in Heber on Saturday Aug. 4th. She was in the primary race for U.S. Congress. The meeting was held in the restaurant’s back room and had a good turn out.

Rodgers told about her military background as she is fifth generation Army. She enlisted in the Air Force and became the first woman pilot. “I’m an unflinching harbinger of truth,” the 64 year-old explained. She said that only 18% of the current U.S. Congress Representatives are military veterans.

She and her husband own a home inspection business. She is very plain spoken, has signed the Term Limits Pledge and believes this country must build “the wall” for the protection of our citizens. Rogers is a highly energized speaker and was quite straightforward with her agenda.
