Mustangs Boys Basketball

The Boys basketball season began in Nov. and are overall 1 and 6. They played three games at tournament over the weekend and didn’t fair too well against Combs, Globe and Morenci.

According to coach Michael Ferriter, “Mogollon High School boys basketball is rebuilding this year from the loss of five of our six top players on last year’s state playoff team. The new young guns include Justin Bullmore (our leading scorer), super sophomore Corey Brown, point guard Marcus Watchmen, speedy ball handler Ben Fabok, and the lone senior starting at center is Gabriel Horn. A couple of key bench guys include defensive specialist Bailey Travers and a hot shooting sophomore Noah Horn. Our team started out the season with a win over Cibecue, and a close loss to Joe City but our early season has featured a number of large teams and tournament action. I expect our overall record to improve once we start playing other schools in our section. Overall we are a young fast team that is expected to contend for a couple of years when our talented players finally mature and reach their potential. Our star player from last season is currently playing college basketball at Knox college in Illinois. Justin Bullmore was named to the all tournament team at the Globe tournament this past weekend.”

The Mogollon Mustangs boys basketball team has a home conference game vs. Hayden on Friday, December 18 @ 7:00 p.m. How about showing these young men some hometown support?
