Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests Hiring for Summer Seasonal Temporary Jobs

Springerville, AZ, January 5, 2016 —The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests (ASNFs) are looking for hardworking people for summer seasonal temporary jobs in several programs.  If you are interested in working on a team with dedicated folks who all pull together, work to achieve forest commitments, and at the same time, have an enjoyable experience, the ASNFs might have the job for you.

For a listing of current temporary job opportunities in clerical, engineering, range, recreation, trails, timber, and wildlife biology go to www.fs.usda.gov/asnf.  The number and location of temporary positions to be filled will be dependent upon the individual Ranger District or Supervisors’ Office needs.

Applications can be submitted at any time during the year.  However, if employment is being sought for the 2016 spring/summer field season, it is recommended that applications be submitted as soon as possible once the announcement is posted. Apply on the USA Jobs website www.usajobs.gov prior to the due date.  Applicants are encouraged to apply for multiple locations on the forest they are interested in working on.

The announcements for these temporary positions are posted on the federal jobs website, USAJobs: www.usajobs.gov.  Individual announcements have specific opening and closing dates. Some vacancy announcements may not be posted during this outreach period; it may take a short amount of time for some vacancies to appear in USA Jobs. Check frequently for new listings.

Forest Service representatives will notify selected applicants by phone. Reporting dates will be negotiated by the supervisor and selected applicants will be contacted by Human Resource Management with confirmation.

For veterans, a copy of the DD-214 is required. If disabled and applying for special consideration under certain disability programs, proof of disability is also required.

For further information on a particular job contact the office for which you are seeking employment.  For help with the application process contact the Albuquerque Service Center at 877-372-7248.
