We are so accommodating with our muggy warm weather just in time for the Crayfish Festival and our visitors from Louisiana and New Orleans making them feel at home. The lawn was filled with families and their children; it was a good turnout. Tents were up for much needed shade, and lawn games were set up for all to play with while Cajun music was booming from the Gazebo, “Eat that Crayfish”, Eat that Crayfish”!
Crayfish are very colorful resembling small lobsters and they tell me are very tasty. The vendors were cooking up other types of fish and selling lots of sweet treats such as; pecan pie, pralines and candies such as green apple gator gummies, candied apples, caramel apples, spicy chips and flavored popcorn, and of course the Beer Garden was set up.
In the spirit of the Cajun people; (Laissez les bons temps rouler) “Let the good times roll.”
